First impressions.
Putin has just annexed Crimea and signed it on live TV -- sort of flipping the bird to the West
Watched the live speech in the Russian Parliament on espresso TV .
The Russian 3rd Reich got a boost today -- very aggressive speech lasting just under an hour,
Blaming NATO for expansionism
Blaming the West for funding the destabilization of Ukraine
Stated that in Ukraine there is no government thus a vacuum and something needs to be done about it (aka premise for invasion)
After every major point Russian MP's on their feet chanting clapping in unison, look of fanaticism & delerium in the eyes of MPs, a fevered pitch
Visions of speeches by Hitler
Claims Russian, Crimean Tartar & Ukrainian languages will be respected in Crimea (we know that will never happen)
Claimed Ukrainians were NAZI's running Pogroms in Ukraine
Slammed the UN security Council
Stated that the referendum in Crimea was legal and up to "International Standards"
Stated that India & China understand Russia's position very well
Lots of Hints that further actions will occur
I gather Eastern & Southern Ukraine will be invaded as he was emboldened by the West's very weak and slow response
People wonder how NAZI Germany rose to power? they did it this same way -- every country did not want to do anything -- problem is sociopaths like this need rock solid boundaries.
Once he has all of Ukraine, I suspect Georgia & Moldova will be next
It appears Putin is frightened by NATO -- that much was apparent -- he is afraid that Ukraine will join NATO -- THUS Yatseniuk MUST push forward joining NATO -- screw the political fallout -- do it
