Re: [politics] media

I am sitting here today with such a heavy sense of hopelessness. Decade
after decade, century after century, the same refrain: Russia Hands of
Ukraine. This time a valid Ukraine seemed so close, the euphoria so high
and now this.

Unless I missed it, those brave Ukrainian sailor and soldiers in Crimea need
to hear from their government. Why has there been no address to the nation
by the President? Lay out a plan, a goal, anything to rally the people.

But my purpose right now is to send immediate financial support to infoukes
for this community service you provide. There is also no leadership in the
diaspora community outside of patriotic windbagging. We know the powerful
PR machine working for Putin and it is high time that we establish such for
Ukraine.

Bottom line, please contact me personally so I send support and I do not
mean a measly $100. And yes, there needs to be a gathering/discussion of
this pathetic situation where the diaspora is always playing catch-up,
always explaning, always reacting. Finally, we hope never to hear again
"oh, isn't Ukraine the same as Russia"

Thank you for listening and letting me vent.
