Obama doesn't have enough support to put troops on the ground. The Reps
talk tough, but they won't support him just to be contrary. I don't
think the American public would support troop action, either.
Maybe if the UN went in, but with Russia having veto power, that's not
going to happen.

Re NATO: Listen to the Fresh Air interview. The "worst case" scenario
was that Putin goes into Ukraine, and Ukrainian partisans start a
guerilla fight, and Poland feels the need to support them so gets
involved, in which case NATO gets sucked in.
