Somehow, my Christian charity has to be stretched real tight to feel any
sympathy for them. They got what they wanted..to be part and parcel of
Mother Russia. Did they learn nothing during Stalin's reign?

Seems only pensions and salaries were on their mind. Interesting how the
whole ex-Soviet landscape looks the same: drabby blue painted wooden
fences, dilapidated houses, muddy paths, cheap jeans and plastic black
jackets. Keeping this legacy caused them such joy? They got what they
wished for!
