Russians are using human shields to take Ukrainian bases

I gathered this from watching various morning newscasts and the RFE/RL live blogs.

What is happening is Russian Military is in the background with snipers & armoured vehicles, but then they use local unarmed "self-defense" forces interspersed with women with trucks/tractors to ram gates -- essentially they are trying to provoke the miltary into shooting unarmed "civilians" to then create a situation to make the Ukrainian military look bad. Basically they are counting on the decency/humanity of ukrainian soldiers not to act in hanous manner like the Russians so they are succeeding.

They have taken numerous bases uin the last few hours.

The FSB has kidnapped the Ukrainian admiral in charge of crimea.

Basically they are purging Crimea of any Ukrainian military presence.
