And here is Ukraine's current military thinking and options:
1. Invading the Crimea to repulse the Russians is not an option at the moment.
2. Peace through negociations is the preferred option.
3. If 2 can't proceed, Ukraine will prepare to defend itself.
4. If Russia invades "continental Ukraine" Ukraine will defend itself.
Specifics in the link above. Looks like still stage 2 moving to stage
3, since "exercises" have been under way for a couple of days and
partial mobilization has begun.
