9.03.2014 Human rights in russian (report by Oleksandra Dvorec'ka,
crimean human rights activist).
Friends!
Simferopol main railway station. The protection of russian-speaking
populace and meeting of tourists in Crimea on holidays looks like this:
fifty young fit men, wielding baseball bats are waiting for the train to
arrive. They must take pictures of the people, who leave the train and
check the contents of their backpacks and bags. You, as a passenger,
must understandthat anything you have on you may become theirs just
because they want it.
While the guys are waiting for the train to park, they have a discussion
about their payment. When will they get the promised 1000 hryvnas? Now
or at the end of the day? The patriots receive their coin in hryvnas.
So, if you ordered the taxi to take you from the train station -- add
fifteen minutes to your arrival time, since the guys can not really
perform the show of lawlesness faster.
Human rights in russian.
