The Crimean Tatars have issued many appeals and requests for help: to
the Turks,to the Kazakhs, the Azeris, to the UN. What is interesting
is that I am unaware of any requests to the Ukrainian government
(unless I missed this). Perhaps because they don't want to embarrass
it and perhaps because on this front they have the same policy of
"peaceful resistance". BUt possibly for other reasons. After all they
have their own national interest to consider.I would love to see a
representative address a Maidan Viche on their behalf.
