Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council (NSDC) Andriy
Parubiy says Russia is trying to hide from the OSCE mission, which has
already arrived in Crimea, its troops that do not belong to the Black
Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation.
He said this at a news briefing at the Ukrainian Crisis Media Center
(UCMC) on Wednesday in Kyiv.
"Russia is trying to hide those troops that have been deployed from
Russia and do not belong to the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian
Federation so that the OSCE could not record their presence," Parubiy said.
According to him, we now have all the evidences that the troops of the
Russian Federation are in Crimea. When asked by reporters whether he
knows that Russian troops are buying the Ukrainian army uniform for
possible provocations, the NSDC chief said: "We know that Russia is
preparing for provocations, but we can't prevent it [the purchase of the
Ukrainian uniform - ed.]", Parubiy emphasized.
The official also said that despite the incredible pressure from the
Russian side, none of the Ukrainian military, except for Berezovsky,
surrendered to Russia or took the oath to the illegitimate Crimean
government.
