Yanukovych could read the entire script that was written for him at the 28Feb2014 press conference. He was caught glancing at his controller at the side of the room occasionally seeking approval that he was doing OK and following his orders. But he had the greatest difficulty controlling himself just before he had to read the following:
“First, I want to ask for your forgiveness…”
He lost his cool and couldn’t control his emotions when he had to beg the Ukrainian people for forgiveness. He grimaced and tried to snap the pen with his two hands. I’m sure some psychiatrists will offer an explanation in due course.
