*The conditional law on amnesty authored by Presidential representative in
Parliament has just been passed - 232 votes in favor (226 required).
Regardless of the elation of the PR deputies, this will not go down well on
Maidan. Yanukovych is reported to have left Parliament directly to his TV
studio to record an announcement. I desperately hope that it will not be an
ultimatum. According to Ukraine's Constitution and legislation, a
Presidential Decree on the institution of martial law must be preceded by a
"warning" to demonstrators to clear occupied buildings, and only then will
the decree take effect. Afterwards, the decree must be approved by
Parliament within 2 days. My dear friends - pray for us! Expect no more
news tonight, but tomorrow we may be seeing the start of the end game of
the revolution, and it won't be a peaceful climax (I fear). Yanukovych is
finished, but he's determined to go out with a bang...*
